Venture Into The Known

Less than Ideal Corruption (9/3/24)

Hey, it's Venture, with some updates.

Tragedy has struck, at the worst of times!

For the first time in a very long time, my current hard drive somehow corrupted (that is, failed to mount) due to what I'd assume is a shitload of bad clusters (so says Google), and I lost a decent amount of content for projects I had in mind; a Half-Life video I had cooking for a month, some cool Photoshop art, etc...

Needless to say, I'm a tad bit upset about it, but regardless, I must keep persevering with other things.

Recently, I've been tinkering with a Minecraft mod concept for my Game Design class, although progress has been slow since learning new interfaces (MCreator and Blockbench) takes some time to master. I intend to make a mod that puts samurai armour, katanas/kunai, and cherry blossom villages into the game, since cherry groves are pretty "whatever" without them. Maybe a new mod as well, like a Jumpluff kinda goober?

I've been re-reading Dragon Ball Z since I heard of the late Toriyama's passing. I never "grew up" with it like some people, but my mid to late teens were spent reading all the Sagas and watching Super during wet Winter days. The influence he had on all of pop culture and the world as a whole speaks of his legendary status. I hope he's flying high with Kento Imari.

The album of the blog is easily MGMT's new album, "Loss of Life," a continuation of Little Dark Age's sound, made with more subtlety and existential dread. Favourite song so far is "People In The Streets," which goes unfathomably hard with multiple layers of ethos etched into it.

That's all for now. Venture wishes you well!
