A New Blog Setup (28/02/24)
Hey there!
It's Venture, here with a brand new location to the blog!
Not much has changed since the last update; I spent most of today setting up the blog and messing around with centering the Vinyl Collection page, to no avail.
I should have all the pages done in the next few weeks.
Until then, let me lay down what I've been doing since then!
Quake for Homework!?
I'm studying a course focusing on game design, specifically the culture and ideas behind game design, programming and modeling assets, etc.
So, for homework each week, I've been assigned to playthrough (or watch a playthrough) a different game and give a detailed review of it, which goes towards my final grade for the course. This week's game was Quake, which I've surprisingly never played, and overall it was beyond excellent! I still believe Doom II is slightly better in terms of overall atmosphere and gameplay, but I played through that on GZDoom, which has jumping and an unlocked camera view baked into it, unlike the base game.
Neat JJBA News:
Australian book stores are finally stocking the first 5 volumes of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6, which is very sweet. While I'd say Part 6 is one of my favourites, I'm gonna wait until Part 7 starts releasing here before I spend copious amounts of dollars on collecting them.
Album of the Blog:
This blog's recommended album is the compilation album "All of Me" by Masoyoshi Takanaka, an absolutely radical jazz-fusion city-pop album that was my gateway into the world of city-pop as a whole. Favourite song is easily E.S.P, it's an earworm that never leaves you.
